The 2010 – 2011 season is hardly over but the European FA’s start posting their 2011 – 2012 football schedules. As soon as they are available we’ll post them here on MarkThisDate.com for you to add to your calendar. Not only will you able the add the league games but also the cup and, if the club qualified, the European games. Most schedules are now at a prelim state which means that most dates are known but the exact times are still to be determined at a later time by the FA’s and the clubs. If you use a calendar application that subscribes (Outlook 2007 and newer, Google Calendar, iCal, etc) to our calendars you’ll be updated automatically. Check out the Bundesliga, Premier League, Championship, Eredivisie and Jupiler League games or search for your favorite team on MarkThisDate.com. If there is something you miss let us know.

The Chilean CNN featured MarkThisDate and especially our World Cup schedule today (110.000 user today). My Spanish is not that good but it seems they are very satisfied. During the World Cup we’ll give Chile some extra cheers. Which CNN is next?

Just one and a half month from now and the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver start. Personally I’m looking forward to the speedskating, which starts on Februari 13th. If you don’t want to miss out on any of the sports (Icedancing, skiing, curling (also a favorite), hockey, luge, figure skating, biathlon, snowboarding, short track, ski jump, bobsleigh, etc) visit the MarkThisDate download page and add the schedule to your calendar.

We get a lot of questions regarding the workings of iCal files (.ics). iCal files are the food for calendar apps. Calendar apps understand these files as having event related information in them (compare browser and .html). If you want to compose your own ics file first read the RFC. If you have written your ics file make sure to run it by the iCal validator. After you ran the validator and still have problems or questions don’t hesitate to contact us.
